(February 23rd, 2024) - It is with great enthusiasm that Oyster Bed Speedway and the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series welcome back Universal Truck and Trailer as the presenting sponsor for the series’ second stop at Prince Edward Island’s only paved stock car facility.
Serving as the penultimate event on the 2024 Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series calendar, the Universal Truck & Trailer 150 on Saturday August 3rd will be a pivotal race as drivers chase championship honours. Fittingly, one season ago Dylan Gosbee (#16) claimed home track glory by winning the Universal Truck & Trailer 150 - which vaulted him towards the inaugural championship.
Universal Truck & Trailer has been serving customers with pride for over 40 years across their network of dealerships. They are a heavy-duty truck and trailer dealership, serving as a dealer for Freightliner and Western Star. On Prince Edward Island, Universal Truck and Trailer can be found just minutes from Oyster Bed Speedway at their brand new location on Sherwood Road in Charlottetown. A multi-time track champion at Oyster Bed Speedway prior to etching his name into history as the inaugural Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series champion, Dylan Gosbee’s win last season in the Universal Truck and Trailer 150 was a monumental one. Rising to the occasion late in the race, Gosbee beat the field (and mother nature), and he will look to defend his win and championship in 2024.
“It’s great to have partners like Universal Truck and Trailer support what we do,” said Gosbee. “The Universal Truck and Trailer 150 last year at Oyster Bed Speedway was a barn burner. With the threat of rain looming, it was a “no holds barred“ style of race with everyone racing each lap as if it was the last.”

The second season for the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series will fire off with the Fog City Auto Spa 150 on Saturday May 11th, 2024 at Petty International Raceway. Six hotly contested races are slated including the Universal Truck and Trailer 150 on Saturday August 3rd, 2024.
Registration for the 2024 Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series is now available for all competitors. Teams can find the registration page online at SLMS.ca/registration. The deadline for full-time competitors to register is March 15th, 2024, after which the race-by-race registration fee will apply.

The Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series is Atlantic Canada’s newest stock car racing series.
