(August 15th, 2026) - Fans were treated to a spectacle Saturday night at Petty International Raceway as the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series completed the 2026 season under the backdrop of a mid-August sunset with the LV Auto Parts and Repair 150!
With a capacity crowd on hand to witness a championship battle for the ages, the superstars of the series delivered a thrilling race that saw dramatic twists, championship heartbreak, and an exciting finish. With points leader Ryan Messer (#1) falling victim to an unfortunate mechanical issue in the opening laps of the race, it left the title to be decided between Tanton Wooldridge (#01) and Dylan Gosbee (#16) - who started four (4) points apart. From starting outside the top ten, both remaining contenders marched towards the front.
Gosbee led the charge for the early stages of the race, but Wooldridge would get track position on a restart and assume control of the lead bound train. One driver would prove too much to tame - EIT Race Radios Pole Award winner Devin Snell (#10) got up on the wheel to outduel Wooldridge and Gosbee over a final 81 lap green flag run to the finish to secure his second career Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series victory.
Wooldridge would cross the line second, with Gosbee in third - giving Wooldridge enough points to claim the 2026 championship by a mere six (6) point margin. It was a historic achievement for Wooldridge, as he became the first two-time and back-to-back champion on the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series.

For Messer and the RYAN Motorsports team, an upper control arm failure derailed their bid for their first career championship. Messer would return to the track many laps down in chance that fellow title contenders would drop out of the race, but it would ultimately be a sixteenth place finish for Messer, dropping him to third in points.
While the championship battle garnered major headlines, a war waged on for fourth in points. Two points separated Braden Langille (#26), Steve Halpin (#03) and Hudson Weston (#43) for the spot - and these three drivers battled hard all race long, ultimately crossing the line in fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively. As points were tabulated, this would also be their final finishing positions in standings.
The battle for seventh was also intriguing between Greg Fahey (#20) and Chris Hughes (#32). Unfortunately, Fahey would suffer a power steering problem and retire from the race, yielding the way for Hughes to lock down seventh overall in points. Castrol Rookie of the Year Clark Moore (#54) would actually surpass Fahey as well in points - thanks to his fourth top ten result - wrapping up the year eighth overall.
Three Clamdiggers Cautions slowed the pace of the race on lap 6, lap 39, and lap 69. The final 81 laps of the race were run caution free, highlighted by the incredible battling for the lead. Two lead changes amongst two drivers occurred - with Kent Vincent (#8) grabbing the lead from Snell for a few laps in the opening laps.
Heat races were captured by Messer and Wooldridge.
The 2026 Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series season is now complete. Attention now turns to the 2026 banquet, which will be held Saturday October 24th, 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Moncton.
