Cory Hall Back On Top With Island Construction 200 Victory!

(August 2nd, 2025) - Cory Hall regained a tie for the top spot in the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series wins list on Saturday, commanding the field to victory in convincing fashion in the Island Construction 200 at Oyster Bed Speedway. Having to start mid-pack having won his last start, Hall wheeled from ninth place to the lead on lap 24, and would lead the rest of the way - 177 laps total - to earn his sixth career win, and fourth at Oyster Bed Speedway.

Tanton Wooldridge (#01) earned his third consecutive podium finish with a runner-up finish - which was good enough to claim the top spot in point standings heading into the final two races, while Robbie MacEwen (#40) earned a podium result in third after having to outduel Dylan Gosbee (#16) in a spirited battle. Gosbee would hang on to fourth over Darren MacKinnon (#18). 

MacEwen had earned the EIT Race Radios Pole Award after winning his heat race, and led the opening twenty-three (23) laps before being overtaken by Hall.

One of the more dramatic moments came with 51 laps to go, when points leader entering the day Ryan Messer’s (#1) night would come to an end hitting the wall while battling for a top five spot. Messer had run as high as second, but would be relegated to a sixteenth place result after the incident, dropping him to fourth in standings.

The race took an hour and thirty-four minutes to complete, and was slowed by just three cautions. In addition to MacEwen, Grey Fahey (#20) won his heat race to start the day.

The next race for the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series will be Saturday August 16th when the series returns to Speedway 660 for round five on the 2025 calendar.
