(September 25th, 2025) - It’s time to crown a champion. The white flag is waving on the 2025 Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series season, and the final stop on the six race circuit brings us back to where it all started in June at Petty International Raceway. It will be a high stakes race - a 200-lap affair as part of Canada's oldest stock car racing event in the prestigious River Glade International while also serving as the championship crowning round for the series.

The year will cap off boasting a nineteen (19) car entry list featuring a who’s who of local racing talent from all Maritime provinces. While everyone will be chasing the River Glade International crown, Tanton Wooldridge (#01) and 01 Motorsports lead the charge into the finale atop of the point standings, as the field will get one final opportunity to steal the championship from the grip. Action for the LV Auto Parts & Repair 200 commences at 3pm on Saturday September 27th.

SUPER SIX Super Late Model Series Storylines

Tanton Wooldridge and 01 Motorsports Poised For First Championship

At just nineteen (19) years of age in his first full-time season, Tanton Wooldridge (#01) has put the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series field on notice. The youngest driver in the field, Wooldridge can write a piece of history by becoming the youngest Super Late Model champion in Atlantic Canada if he seals the deal on the season long crown Saturday.

A breakout season for the entire 01 Motorsports team, consistency has been the cornerstone of success for Wooldridge in 2025 as they’ve chased a championship. Never finishing better than second and never finishing worse than fourth (although he does have a heat win to his credit), it’s been a model season. Even when adversity struck - such as a flat tire early in the ReCar 200 - this team has battled and persevered every step of the way.

It’s a twenty-three (23) point lead for Wooldridge over fellow PEI star Dylan Gosbee (#16), a manageable but not unsurmountable lead. Wooldridge needs things to go his way to wrap up the title, but race fans know anything can and will happen on race day.

Ryan Messer Bringing Petty Momentum Chasing First High Banks Win

The history of Ryan Messer and Petty International Raceway is well documented - but the tides have changed in 2025.

Messer kick-started his 2025 Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series campaign with a runner-up finish at Petty in the LV Auto Parts & Repair 150 - a career day at the River Glade only. A few weeks ago, Messer wheeled to a third place run in the prestigious Mike Stevens Memorial 254.

While high ranked in points all season, it was one DNF at Oyster Bed Speedway that has Messer with a hill to climb if he wants to earn the championship. For this team, the focus will be on one thing - winning at Petty.

Ashton Tucker’s Drive for Five…Take Two

Ashton Tucker (#2) recently conquered a “Drive for Five” when he earned his fifth win in the Pro Stock 250 on SpeedWeekend at Speedway 660. This weekend, he has another “Drive for Five” in his sights.

Ashton has won four straight Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series races at Petty International Raceway. In fact - Ashton has never lost at Petty with the series - the only race he didn’t win, he wasn’t in attendance for. The Brad Silliker Motorsports team has not raced with the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series since he won the LV Auto Parts & Repair 150 in June, but will return hoping he didn’t miss a beat.

Coming off a runner-up finish in the Mike Stevens Memorial, the target will be on Tucker’s back this weekend.

Points Battles Are Worth Watching All Throughout The Field

With one race remaining, it leaves one final chance for drivers to capture every position in points. While Tanton Wooldridge holds a comfortable (but not insurmountable) lead, there is quite a battle for second in his mirror. Inaugural champion Dylan Gosbee (#16) sits second in points just eight points up over third place Ryan Messer. Messer is clinging to third by a single point over ReCar 200 winner Lonnie Sommerville (#23) who holds down fourth. Greg Fahey (#20) is fifth and also within striking distance of second, third, and fourth, as Fahey is just eight points behind Sommerville and nineteen points behind Gosbee.

All respected drivers with impressive accolades, they each want to score as many points as possible. The entire second through fifth battle will be exciting to watch.

It’s also a war for the final spot in the top ten in points, as Cal Hatfield (#11) is just seven points up on Brodie Lewis (#22). This will be another duel for fans to watch - there are battles all throughout, but these two drivers are each chasing career best points results and their first top ten points finish.

River Glade International Raises The Stakes

Just three entries in the field are former River Glade International winners, who are all chasing repeat wins in Canada’s Oldest Stock Car race. Kent Vincent (#8) is the 2011 River Glade International champion, while Ashton Tucker earned the monumental win in 2023. The third International victor is Dave O’Blenis (#48) - Dave is a two-time International champion from 1996 and 2011, but both of his triumphs came in the Late Model Sportsman ranks.

That means a strong crop of competition is chasing their first International win - which would be a meaningful win. Drivers such as Lonnie Sommerville, Dylan Gosbee, Ryan Messer, and even Steve Halpin (#03) have been close and seek to add this race to their resume.

Being such a prestigious race while doubling as the Super Late Model Series finale, it’s going to be an exciting race to watch this weekend!

Brandon Albert Eyeing Up Rookie of the Year

Brandon Albert’s (#37) first full-time Super Late Model Series season deserves credit. Sitting ninth in points, Albert has had some respectable runs and knocked on the door of a top ten finish all season long.

Improvement has been the key word, as he has gotten seat time and gained respect from his fellow competitors. Rookie of the Year honours would be a fitting and deserving way to cap it off, but first there’s 200 laps ahead for Albert as he will make his first River Glade International start on Saturday.
