(July 2nd, 2025) - The longest distanced race in Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series history is set to thrill on Saturday at Speedway 660! The ReCar 200 presented by Wonder Auto & Tire will serve as round three on the 2025 schedule, and it’s set to be a star studded duel of attrition and strategy.

Dylan Gosbee (#16) leads the way atop the point standings through two events, holding a narrow lead over Ryan Messer (#1) and Tanton Wooldridge (#01). These three drivers will look to maintain their advantages, but it will be tough with a stout twenty (20) car field assembling to take to the track. The green flag drops at 4pm on Saturday July 5th for the race which will lead us into the all important middle portion of the season.

SUPER SIX Super Late Model Series Storylines

Extra Laps and Mandatory Pit Stop Add New Strategy Element to Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series

The ReCar 200 presented by Wonder Auto & Tire will be the first of three special format events on the 2025 Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series calendar. Deviating from the traditional 150-lap affairs that have been a staple through the first two and a half seasons, drivers will be tested over the course of 200 laps this weekend.

So what does this entail? The ReCar 200 presented by Wonder Auto & Tire will be a four-tire race - meaning tire conservation during the feature certainly can play a factor in determining who wins. Further to this, questions will loom regarding fuel mileage - will drivers be able to make 200 laps on fuel? It has been done before - Dave O’Blenis made it to lap 212 in the 2023 Pro Stock 250 before making his pit stop - but the number of cautions could come into play.

Every team will, however, be required to make at least one mandatory pit stop. There are no direct requirements in terms of when to pit, or what to do - teams will just have to make a pit stop. So this opens an opportunity to take fuel to ensure they can make it to the end - but what will become more valuable - track position by pitting early, or a late pit stop for fuel and adjustments? Not to mention, with no competition cautions, no one knows how the yellow flags will fall on Saturday.

Crew members will play the biggest role they ever have in series history, and strategy could make or break each driver's race. The dynamic of this race will be unlike anything of us have witnessed to date with the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series.

Clark Moore Could Play Spoiler?

Every year has its storylines, and drivers breaking into the spotlight. In 2025, Clark Moore (#54) could be one of those drivers in regional Super Late Model ranks.

Moore has dabbled in competition in recent years, running part-time and making some one-off starts. But as the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series races into Speedway 660, Moore is the only driver to have earned a victory in the tracks Line-X Pro Stock division, and he hopes to translate that into success on a big stage in 200 laps!

It was a first career win on Sunday June 15th for Clark, but he didn’t stop there, scoring back-to-back wins in dramatic fashion only a few days later. Armed with a new-to-him car in 2025 - which is the former Dylan Gosbee championship Hamke - keep your eye on this driver in the ReCar 200 presented by Wonder Auto & Tire!

Tanton Wooldridge Solidifies His Spot in Heavyweight Title Fight With Gosbee and Messer

Being the only past feature winners committed to chasing a championship on the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series - and both piloting brand new chassis’s in 2025 - it is no surprise to anyone to find Dylan Gosbee (#16) and Ryan Messer (#1) sitting pretty atop the points, three points apart. Each driver has two top ten efforts - including a runner-up finish apiece.

But one driver - who calls Speedway 660 one of his favorite tracks - isn’t ready to let these two settle it amongst themselves. That is young Tanton Wooldridge (#01) - who at nineteen years of age sits tied for Messer for second in points and has the best average finish amongst full-time drivers.

Wooldridge is emerging as a star, but could also become a champion in his first full-time season. Fans will certainly want to keep their eyes on this PEI hot shoe to see how he fares in his first Super Late Model start at Speedway 660 on Saturday.

Fourteen Track Championships, Zero Series Victories…So Far

Four veteran drivers - who have combined to rack up fourteen championships in the Line-X Pro Stock division (in addition to countless victories) are looking to finally add an Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series victory to their remarkable careers. All four drivers sit top ten in points and are positioned to pursue a championship, but capturing that first win is certainly on the forefront.

Lonnie Sommerville leads the way, sitting fifth in points after two events. Sommerville - a 2x Pro Stock 250 winner and the 2015 track champion - has separated himself from the other three champions as he does have podium finishes with the series back in 2023. Sommerville has a fifth and ninth place result through two events - but is certainly set to

The driver bringing the most momentum into the weekend could be Greg Fahey (#20). A four-time track Pro Stock champion, Fahey posted an Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series career best fourth place result in the Universal Truck and Trailer 150. The fact that this career best result came at his least familiar track is even more impressive. Fahey has unfinished business though - he dominated the first trip to Speedway 660 last year before slipping back to fifth in the end, and then came heartbreakingly close to his first Pro Stock 250 win a few months later, settling for third.

Dave O’Blenis (#48) is a seven-time Pro Stock champion at Speedway 660, along with a two-time Pro Stock 250 winner. The man behind the trophies for the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series is itching to take one home for himself. O’Blenis has consecutive top ten results - including a hard fought tenth place finish at Oyster Bed Speedway. Returning back to Speedway 660 delivers a superb opportunity for the winner of 105+ feature races.

Chris Duncan (#97) is also a two-time Pro Stock champion at the Geary facility - in fact, he was the first ever track champion back in 1994 before repeating in 2010! Duncan is off to his best start to date with the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series - earning a heat race victory and finding himself in the top ten in standings. His fast start will drive him into the ReCar 200 with high expectations!

Steve Halpin Returns!

This driver always generates excitement when his name is added to the entry list!

Steve Halpin (#03) is set to make his first start of the 2025 season during the ReCar 200 presented by Wonder Auto & Tire! Halpin’s iconic #03 ride is always a challenger for victories - Halpin came mighty close to winning the inaugural race in 2023 but would settle for second to Ryan Messer. Halpin had a championship bid going that year, but a tough ReCar 150 would end that run.

After making only one start in 2024, we’re excited to see Halpin back and ready to battle for 200 laps this time!

Balance of Speedway 660 Regulars Poised to Stand Out

It’s always a Speedway 660 storyline when the Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series comes to town - how will the local drivers fare against the region's top talents?

We have documented the early season success of Clark Moore, but one driver as hungry as ever will be Kevin Moore (#88). Kevin came out on the wrong end of the dramatic finish in the most recent Line-X Pro Stock event at the ⅓ mile oval, and the crafty veteran is looking for redemption. Behind the pair of Moore’s - who are not related to each other - was Andrew Rodgers (#14) in third. Rodgers will make his return to the series for the first time since the 2023 ReCar 150, an event in which he earned the EIT Race Radios, led laps, and posted a top ten result.

Defending Line-X Pro Stock champion Ian Rasmussen (#81) is looking to get his season rolling as well. He competed in the LV Auto Parts & Repair 150, but suffered a premature ending. Rasmussen is a top contender in the Geary Woods, and will be looking to rekindle some magic. Ed Bowlby will also rejoin the series - Bowlby had full-time intentions for 2025, but a whirlwind day at the season opener at Petty meant this team would elect to regroup. With one of the nicest looking cars in the field, Bowlby hopes to exceed expectations and be in the mix during the ReCar 200.
